ARIZONA FUN FACTS ROCK



         A person from Arizona is called an Arizonan. 
The copper roof on top of the State Capitol in Phoenix
would make over 4,500,000 pennies. 
The Hopi settlement, Oraibi, is the oldest continuously lived-in
Native American site in the US. 
In the late 1960's and early 70's The London Bridge was shipped
stone-by-stone from England and rebuilt over the Colorado River
at Lake Havasu City. 
Humphreys Peak is Arizona's highest point at 12,633 feet
above sea level. It is located in about 11 miles (
18 km) north of Flagstaff.
The lowest point in Arizona is 70 feet above sea level at the Colorado River near Yuma.
Kitt Peak National Observatory is the home to the world's biggest
solar telescope.
Arizona is on Mountain Standard Time all year long
with the exception of the Navajo Nation, which observes Daylight
Savings Time April through October.
